TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 242 TONER CARTRIDGE

Your Toshiba E-Studio 242 is equipped with a built-in system for a toner level monitoring, and it will signal you if the toner in the toner cartridge is too low. There are two possible messages that could appear on your E-Studio 242`s display. The first message ``Toner is low`` appears, when there is still a little toner remaining. In this situation, you should prepare a new toner cartridge, but do not replace the toner cartridge yet. Once the toner in the toner cartridge is completely consumed, you will see the following message ``Toner Empty`` on your printer display, and now you can safely replace the exhausted toner cartridge with the new one.

The toner cartridge replacement procedure of your Toshiba E-Studio 242 requires no more than 10 minutes to be executed. When the time for a new toner cartridge comes, you must open the front cover of your printer and hold down the green lever (located in the center), in order to unlock the exhausted toner cartridge. Now, you can pull out the toner cartridge and start preparing the new one for installation. Once the new cartridge is unpacked, you must shake it with the label surface down for 6-7 times, and then you can remove the protective sheet from the rear side of the cartridge. After that, you must pull out the protective seal in the direction illustrated by the printed arrow and check if the green lever is raised. Then, you can insert the new cartridge into the printer and start the charger cleaning procedure. You must pull out the cleaning knob of the charger toward you until it comes to a stop and then reinsert it to its original position. The above charger cleaning procedure should be executed 3-4 times, and after that the transfer charger wire must be cleaned. In this step, you must open the side cover of your E-Studio 242 and pull the transfer unit toward you, while holding the green lever. Now, you must take the transfer charger cleaner from the front pocket of the transfer unit and start wiping the transfer wire with it. The transfer charger cleaner must be inserted into the front end of the transfer charger and then moved from the front to the side end several times. Once the transfer charger wire is clean, you can return the cleaner to its original position and close both side and front covers.
