When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 283 Laser Printer?

Your Toshiba e-Studio 283 Laser Printer is equipped with a toner level sensor, which will trigger a warning signal, when the toner cartridge runs out of toner. You will see the following message ``Install new toner cartridge`` on the top left corner of your printer`s display. Additionally, the ``REPLACE TONER CARTRIDGE`` symbol will start blinking.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 283 Laser Printer

In order to change the exhausted toner cartridge, you must open the front cover of your e-Studio 283 and press the green lever (next to the toner cartridge) down. Now, you can pull out the old toner cartridge towards you and unpack the new one. You must shake the new toner cartridge horizontally for 7-8 times, in order to loosen the toner inside, and then you can pull out the protective seal in the direction illustrated by the arrow (printed on the seal). Once prepared, the new cartridge could be inserted into the printer. In the next step, you must lower the bypass tray and open the automatic duplexer. Now, you must open the transfer cover and take out the transfer charger cleaner from the front pocket (on the front left side). The cleaner must be inserted into the edge of the transfer separation unit, in order to wipe the transfer charger wire properly. Once the transfer charger wire is clean, you can return the charger cleaner, the automatic duplexer, and the bypass tray to their original positions. Finally you can close the front cover and test your Toshiba e-Studio 283 Laser Printer.

With the e-Studio 283 you get outstanding security features. It comes with a data overwrite feature that writes over the data after each job is processed to protect confidential information. There is also an optional scrambler that encrypts the hard drive to protect important data.

The e-Studio 283 brings you advanced network printing. It features e-Bridge architecture that activates network printing with the addition of a USB key. This multifunctional device offers features such as e-Filing, Scheduled Print, and Proof Print.
