PHASER 6100 TRANSFER BELT

A new transfer belt lasts approx. 50,000 Black & White pages or 12,500 Full Color pages. You can obtain useful information about the transfer belt installed in your Xerox Phaser 6100 Color Laser Printer from the control panel by navigating to [Maintenance] – [Check Others] – [Transfer Belt]. You should replace the installed transfer belt with a new one when:

Toner smear appears

‘’Install Transfer Belt’’ is displayed, but the transfer belt is correctly installed.

‘’Invalid Transfer Belt’’ is displayed

‘’Replace Transfer Belt’’ – You can continue printing in this situation. However, print quality cannot be guaranteed. You should install a new transfer belt.

‘’Replace Transfer Belt Soon’’ – You should purchase a new transfer belt soon.

‘’Transfer Belt Error’’ is displayed on the LCD screen

Important: Please turn off the Xerox Phaser 6100 Color Laser Printer, and wait a few minutes for the internal printer components to cool.

You must open the left cover of your Xerox Phaser 6100 Color Laser Printer completely. Then, you must open the top cover. After that, you must unlock the used transfer belt by pulling the two lock/release levers towards you, and then take the used transfer belt out of the laser printer. To prepare the new transfer belt for installation, you must take it out of the protective plastic bag, and remove the protective paper and the tension levers. Now, you must align the protrusions of the new transfer belt with the guiding-channels of the slot, and then insert the new component firmly into the slot. In the next step, you must lock the new transfer belt into place by pushing its two lock/release levers towards the top cover, and then close the top cover. Finally, you must close the left cover, and then turn on the Xerox Phaser 6100 Color Laser Printer.
