This toner cartridge prints 6000 pages with average 5% coverage (Nearly all Printer manufacturers base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage).

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox WorkCentre Pro 16p Laser Printer?

The lifespan of a standard toner cartridge is approx. 6,000 pages at 5% coverage. Please be aware that the lifespan of the Starter toner cartridge is about three times shorter in comparison with the standard yield toner cartridge. Please also note that you can extend the useful life of the installed toner cartridge by enabling the Toner Save feature, which reduces toner consumption by decreasing the overall copy density. The installed toner cartridge must be replaced in the following circumstances:

The [Toner] indicator is on – The amount of toner remaining in the installed cartridge will be consumed within 10 copies at 5% coverage. You should prepare a new toner cartridge.

The error code [J3] is displayed on the LCD screen – The installed toner cartridge is incompatible. Please install a new toner cartridge that is intended for use in your Xerox WorkCentre Pro 16p Laser Printer.

The error code [J1] is displayed on the LCD screen – The Xerox WorkCentre Pro 16p Laser Printer has detected that the installed toner cartridge is empty. You must install a new toner cartridge.

[CH] is displayed – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly. A new toner cartridge must be installed if the problem persists.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox WorkCentre Pro 16p Laser Printer

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must lower the alternate paper tray, and then open the right side cover by pressing the release lever. After that, you must open the front cover, and then remove the used toner cartridge by pulling it towards you while pressing down the green release lever. Now, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the transport box, and then shake it to loosen and redistribute the toner. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the protective cover, and then slide the new toner cartridge into the slot until it clicks into place. Finally, you must close the front cover, and then close the right side cover of your Xerox WorkCentre Pro 16p Laser Printer.

This unit produces quality prints and is durable. The Xerox WorkCentre Pro 16P is a great all-in-one printer, allowing you to support your printing, copying, and scanning needs on a single machine. It can print transparencies, envelopes, flyers, and much more at fast speeds. The control panel is self-intuitive. With a utilitarian shape, this Xerox printer merges into your workspace easily. This unit can produce camera-ready charts, spreadsheets, and illustrations with clear crisp definition.

Cons:
