When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox WorkCentre XL-2130 Laser Monochrome Printer?

Your Xerox WorkCentre XL-2130 Laser Monochrome Printer is equipped with a starter toner cartridge, which has a very limited printing resource of 2000 5% covered copies. Once the installed toner cartridge is near the end of its useful life, the toner cartridge indicator on the WorkCentre diagram will light, and you will be able to print/copy a maximum of 10 more copies/prints. Herein, you should always keep a spare toner cartridge for your Xerox WorkCentre XL-2130 Laser Monochrome Printer. Please also note, once the toner is completely consumed, you will see the ‘’J1’’ status code displayed in the printer`s control display.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox WorkCentre XL-2130 Laser Monochrome Printer

You must start the toner cartridge replacement procedure in your Xerox WorkCentre XL-2130 Laser Monochrome Printer by opening the side cover. Then, you must press the release button (top left side of the front cover) of the front cover to open it. Now, you must completely remove the exhausted toner cartridge by pulling the cartridge towards you while pressing down its green lock release lever. Once the old/exhausted toner cartridge is out, you must prepare the new one by unpacking and shaking it 5-6 times horizontally. After that, you must remove the toner cartridge protective cover and insert the new toner cartridge into the toner cartridge slot, but be careful not touch the surface of the drum cartridge.
