When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox XC1044 Laser Printer?

The lifespan of the toner cartridge installed in your Xerox XC1044 Laser Printer depends mainly on the average percentage of page coverage and the selected copy contrast settings. You should replace the installed toner cartridge in the following circumstances:

The Xerox XC1044 Laser Printer takes longer than usual to start copying – The level of remaining toner is very low. You should install a new toner cartridge.

The [Add Toner] indicator is lit – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. A new toner cartridge should be installed soon.

The [Add Toner] indicator flashes – You must install a new toner cartridge because the installed one has been exhausted.

The error code [CH] is displayed – The Xerox XC1044 Laser Printer does not detect an installed toner cartridge. You must make sure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem persists.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Xerox XC1044 Laser Printer

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must pull the upper section of the Xerox XC1044 Laser Printer up until it stops, and then unlock the used toner cartridge by pressing its release lever down. After that, you must pull the used toner cartridge out of the machine, and then unpack the new toner cartridge. Now, you must redistribute the toner by shaking the new cartridge 8-10 times horizontally, and then remove the protective plastic cover from the new component. Once the protective cover is removed, you must slide the new toner cartridge into the slot until it clicks into place, and then finalize the replacement procedure by pushing down the upper section of the machine until it stops.

Pros:

Document management is relatively easy with the Xerox XC1044. Users will be able to adjust controls such as text, photo, and toner save. You can also customize the background of copies. The copy contrast adjusts the lightness and darkness of documents. If you turn the Auto contrast on, the darker/ lighter feature is not available.
The Xerox XC1044 is environmentally friendly. The Power Reduction Mode has two options for reducing the amount of power used which are Power Shut-Off and Power Save.
This unit can handle a variety of paper sizes and types. The Xerox XC1044 copier can handle paper sizes from 5.5 x 8.5-8.5 x14 millimeters, and A5-216 x 356 millimeters. Cons:
