RICOH AFICIO 1015 TONER CARTRIDGE

Your Ricoh Aficio 1015 Laser Printer is equipped with a special toner sensor, which is constantly sending data to the precise built-in system. The [Add Toner] indicator will be on, when the built-in system detects a toner cartridge related abnormality. Please note that the [Add Toner] indicator illustrates six black dots in a pyramidal order with an arrow pointing toward the dots. You can find the different toner cartridge related indications below. Please follow the instructions given after each of the signals/indications.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is blinking/flashing – This is an indication of a nearly empty toner cartridge. You can still use the print/copy functions of your Ricoh Aficio 1015 Laser Printer in this situation, but the print quality will be drastically decreased. Please be aware that the remaining toner will be completely consumed after less than 50 new prints/copies. Therefore, you should install a new toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the ‘’low toner’’ indication.

• The [Add Toner] indicator is on/lit – The installed toner cartridge is empty. All print/copy functions will be disabled, until a new toner cartridge is installed. Please follow the included replacement procedure (‘’ How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio 1015 Laser Printer’’), in order to install a new toner cartridge.

Initially, you must carefully open the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 1015 Laser Printer, and then lift the green lever of the toner cartridge holder. After that, you must unlock the holder from the slot by pushing its lock release lever down, and then gently pull the holder towards you until the exhausted toner cartridge is accessible. Now, you must unlock the exhausted toner cartridge by pushing it slowly towards the rear side of the holder, and then remove the exhausted component. After the successful removal of the old component, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the protective packaging, and then shake it 8-10 times from side to side, in order to loosen and redistribute the toner. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the black outer cap (do not remove the inner cap) from the new toner cartridge, and then insert the prepared new component into the toner cartridge holder. Once the new toner cartridge is inserted, you must push the holder into the slot until it clicks/locks into place, and then push its green holder down. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Ricoh Aficio 1015 Laser Printer.
