TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 353 STAPLE CARTRIDGES

The E-Studio 353`s staples/staple cartridges must be replaced, if the following message ``Check staple cartridge`` appears. The above message will be displayed in the top left side of your printer`s display, but only if a finisher is installed.

The replacement procedure of the staples/staple cartridges in the TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 353 Laser Printer is unique for each different finisher model. Below are all staples replacement procedures for TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 353 Laser Printer equipped with a Single-staple Finisher (MJ-1022), Multi-staple Finisher (MJ-1023), Saddle-stitch Finisher (MJ-1024), or MJ-1101 Finisher.

Below is the staples replacement procedure for Toshiba e-Studio 353 equipped with a Multi-staple Finisher (MJ-1023)
You must start with opening of the front cover of the Multi-staple Finisher (MJ-1023). After that, you must take out the staple cartridge and remove the empty staple case from it. In the next step, you must unpack your new staples and pull out their protective seal. Now, push the new staples into the staple cartridge until it clicks. Finally, you must push the staple cartridge into the copier and close the front cover of the Multi-staple Finisher (MJ-1023).

Below is the staples replacement procedure for Toshiba e-Studio 353 equipped with a Saddle-stitch Finisher (MJ-1024)
Initially, you must open the front cover of the Saddle-stitch Finisher (MJ-1024) and locate the saddle stitch unit (in the middle). In the next step, you must slide the saddle stich unit carefully towards you and then pull its handle, while turning it (up to 90 degrees) in clockwise direction. Now, you will be able to replace the empty staple case with a new one. Once the new staples case is in the finisher, you must follow the above procedure in reverse order and return or components to their original places. Please note, that your e-Studio 353 will automatically perform a test stapling, and because of that, there must be paper in your Toshiba e-Studio 353.

Below is the staples replacement procedure for Toshiba e-Studio 353 equipped with a Single-staple Finisher (MJ-1022)
Initially, you must separate the finisher from the copier by pulling the locking lever and then moving the MJ-1022. Now, you must remove the empty staple case and unpack the new one. Afterwards, you can install the new staple case, but remove the seal holding the staples only when the case is completely set in the cartridge. After that, you can return the staple cartridge into the stapler by pushing it until it clicks into place. Finally, you must reconnect the MJ-1022 Finisher to your TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 353.
Below is described the replacement of the staples in TOSHIBA E-STUDIO 353 with installed MJ-1101 Finisher.
First, you must open the front cover of your MJ-1101 Finisher and take off the staple cartridges by pulling the staple cartridge towards you, while pushing down the cartridge`s lever. Now, you must pull up the empty staple case, while pushing both sides, and after that you can fit a new staple case on the staple cartridge. Then, you should simply put in place the staple cartridges until it is fixed with a click in your Toshiba laser printer. Finally, you must close the front cover and check, if the ``Check staple cartridge`` message is still appearing. If the message is still there, simply repeat the install procedure.
